Indigo!!

So i mixed up the indigo with water and a little bit of salt to like a yogurt like texture, it is now sitting in my hair with saran wrap over it plus a sarong lol. I'll prob wash it out at 2:30. Ps it smells like frozen spinich!!!!

My adventures with indigo and mehndi review for rajasthani twilight!!!

Yay so my sample from mehndi.com have arriveeeddd!! I got 3g rajasthani twilight 2.8% lawsone content, and 3g of sudina indigo. Right now as we speak i have the henna (mixed with lemon juiceand let sit about 12 hours overnight) sitting in my bangs( i always test stuff on my bangs first ). So its 10am (early right?) i plan to leave it in for 3 hours sooo 1pmishhh and the when i rinse this out i will mix up my indigo and leave it in for like an hour (or untill i have to leave for work 2:30ish) soo yay! Hopefully it comes out a very dark cool and sexxxy black hopefully like jet black blue black color.

Mehndi review!!!
So as i was mixing up the rajasthani twilight i noticed it was quite stringy! Which is a good quality in hennA, usually when mixing henna for mehndi you mix henna, lemon juice, and sugar i however didnt use sugar in this mix because i was putting it in my hair. Sugar pretty much just makes the henna stay on skin better (if no sugar is added it could just fall off). So i put a big square of leftover henna on my foot (wanted to do hand but it woukd look kinda weird at work to have a brown goo on my hand). I am hoping to get a nice dark reddish colour, because of the high lawsone content 2.8% i have a feeling this is gonna be the shizzle! Lol

So i will update soon (3 hours of my indigo process, and again tommorow for the mehndi review and a peek of my hair, and then again the next day when my mehndi as reached its true color(;.

Butter deep conditioner and smelly hair.

Call me crazy but i did a butter deep condition lol. So heres what i did.
On freshly cowashed and avc rinsed hair i rubbed on the butter lol and but hair into a high bun wrapt a plastic mini garbage bag and then a towel around it. Oh teehee this is the recipe

Butter
Honey
Shea butter
Organic root stimulator replenishing conditioner.

I melted butter and honey in the microwave ( this tastes good on bread, tortillas, and english muffins.)

To the honey butter mixture i added the conditioner and some shea butte rto thicken it up.

Wow so um yeah it made my hair feel great, not as hard to wash out as i thought it would be, buuuut lol my hair sniffed funny later on! I rinsed it out with hot water (NOT THE BEST FOR HAIR , warm water is BETTER. Do as i say not as i do lol) anyway ended updetangling my hair with hello hydration (strong sent) and then rinsed that out and used shea moisture deep treatment mask as my leave in but it still kinda had that umm rancid dairy smell to it. But since my hair felt great i decided to put it in 12 braids for a braid out. The next day i did the dutch braid style.

So lesson learned dairy can be scarey lol Im thinking this would be better as a pre-poo not a afterwash treatment.

Oh p.s. Here are some pics of the post butter braid out before i styled it.

Protective style

So because im now back on the mainland my hair and skin is sooo dry! Lol i have decided with winter coming and what not i seriously need to protective style my hair alot, but i am not allowed to do buns ( i have a serious bun,high bun,messy bun addiction which might end up doing more harm then good ;/) so i came up with this cute french braid hairstyle. This is what i did;
1. On stretched and moisturized hair i frist sectioned off my bangs, then braided the (to keep them out of way).

2. I made a small side part and parted hair down my hairline on both sides, after clipping up the rest of my hair i o applied more moisturizer (shea moisture deep treatment mask) and cornrowed the left side. I stopt braiding when i ran out of hair leaving the ends loose than did the other side.

3. I sectioned the back straight (i think) down the middle, i made 2 dutch braids on on each side and added the hair from the cornrows into the braids.

4. I unbraided my bangs and flat ironed them.
Thats it pretty simple im hoping to get a couple days out of this style. I have been covering it at night with a silk scarf and this morning, if the ends start to unravel or get fozy from like say rubbing against your sweater than just unbraid the very ends smooth more moisturizer on and rebraid. Here are pictures from second day.
