Haha ik ik, i havnt blogged in soooo long, ive been busy working (i braid hair and do henna tattoos and feather extensions!) and i dont have internet so im at mcdonalds using the computer yeah so not fun cuz there is like no ac it must be broken.
Hair update* i have reached 24" which is bra strap lngth 4 me, but i got a bunch of single strand knots from not detangling and just throwing wet hair up into a bun. So i cut an inch(or about) off my hair and it feels way better but now it feels shorter. :( But hey its better!.

Blue hair don't care.(summer 2008)
Haha...yeah thats blue hair dye on my hands, not any blue hair dye but Bitchin' Blue
(from Hot Topic). Anyway, my friend victoria's mom wouldnt let her dye her hair so we had to be sneaky lol. She thought we were dying her hair with blue kool aid. So when she was taking a nap we snuck into the bathroom and looked the door and i dyed her hair and mine. After i washed it out we relized that we got hair dye all over the bathroom and ourselves, i mean my hands and the back of her neck were like all blue we looked like smurfs! So we had to call my mom to come and help us clean up (she ended up doing it all) she had to bleach the heck out of the bathroom, it looked like we killed the blue man group! And she was all like "i've been dying my hair since middle school and i've made a mess", yeah well i guess we are just more messy than she is (i though she knew this?) But seriously! everything was blue our pillow cases (cause we dyed the bottom half of are hair "broho section") the bra i was wearing, and shorts (how i got dye on my shorts i have no idea!!!) it took me weeks, i mean weeeeekkkksssss to wash that stuff of my hands i had to use bleach and even that didnt work (do not use bleach) . But her hair turned out super cute if i find any pics i'll add them to the post. Mine didnt really turn blue but is had a darker blue/green tinge to it..
ps. blue hair dye fades to an awfull green color, and if you swim in pools (like we did) then it fades sooner.
My curly fro.
So i was deepconditining my hair, and i wrapped a towel around my head. Half an hour later i take it off and this is what my hair looked like! i thought it was kinda cute (i didnt rock it like that tho) so i took pics and then i washed it out and added a leave in then put it in a loose pony.
A close up of the back of my hair, not defined. The ends are lighter cuz they use to be red.
ps. mind the mess we are moving.<3<3<3

Scene hair.
Yeaaaahhh....I had too. Ive always thought scene hairstyles were so beautiful<3<3<3 and since this is a hairstyle blog i though id do a post lol.
I remember going to the galleria mall circa 2008 in henderson (i'm from las vegas) there were soooo many scene kids, they seemed to all hang out there lol...
I always loved their hair all the colour, the bows, and the awesome layers (which if i layers like that in my hair it look like crap when curly). Okay so my friends and i never had scene hair but we went crazy with the colour, we dyed the broho section of our hair blue (there will be a post about this we got hair dye everywhere!) and when that faded i did pink, then went crazy with red hair dye (i dyed my hair a auburn red then put semi permant bright red over it, m-a-j-o-r d-a-m-a-g-e). anyway my mom wants me to get off my laptop.... So i'll blog later):
ps. broho hair is when you dye the bottom of your hair a different colour then the rest. (COLOUR? gosh why am i spelling it that way im not canadian...)

Detangling.
Now i know detangling has to be like the worst part of taking care of hair (it can take forever!). I recently switched to finger combing my hair which takes a verrrrry long time. Yes i could use a hair brush to dentangle my hair and have it done alot quicker but it can lead to major breakage and split ends which means less length and ratty ends. Since using my fingers ive started to notice less breakage and seem to be retaining more of my length.
Now for detangling your hair you will prob need a few hair clips, a conditioner, a squirt bottle full of water, a towel (to protect shoulders and clothes from water/conditioner.), a hair tool (wide tooth comb, denman brush, fingers), and plenty of time. It's a good idea to watch a movie to make the time pass, or if its summer of you live somewhere warm you can sit outside and do it and enjoy the sun. If your detangling a little ones hair make sure they have something to do (toys, books, snack, movie, tv show.)
The key to detangling is setting aside a time when you can focus on it and not have to rush. I'ts best to start with freshly washed/cowashed hair. Depending on length you might want to section your hair into 2-8 sections. Make sure your hair is wet/damp and has plenty of conditioner on it (it helps hair comb better).
Start with the first section and take a small part and starting from the bottom gently comb hair untill there are no detangles. When you are done with the first section put a hair clip around it to keep it from tangling again(or band it, braid it, or twist it depending on how you want to style the hair later).
When you are done with all the sections you can either leave in the conditioner and mabey add an oil on top or rinse out the conditioner and add a leave in product.
I hope i gave enough info on detangling if there is something anyone want me to add please comment and i can edit the post. Also i'd like to her from my reader, how do you dentangle your hair and how long does it take you?

Arts and Crafts!
I am a big fan of arts and crafts! Being homeschooled (i graduated last year) by my mom arts and crafts was always a big part of our day, and it still is i could sit for hours listening to music, watching tv or just space-ing out while making crafts and jewelry. I once sat down and made like fifty chokers out of hemp my fingers were so sore that night. I plan on putting more posts up about the crafts i make and possibly how to's! (i really "!" dont i?)
Oh and im a big fan of oragami, i have more oragami paper then anyone else in the world (i like to think so lol), well okay i dont have that much but i have alot. My favorite thing to make are cranes i'm sure ive made well over a thousand (where's my wish) lol.

Four bun
This is from like two or three weeks ago when i had my hair straightend. Since im trying to grow out my hair (My goal is between waist and tailbone length) im trying not to straighten it more then evey couple months which is still alot and im planning to cut back even more so i can make my goal goal of bra strap length at the end of the year. I wore alot of fishtail braids and buns the week my hair was straightend to protect the ends and avoid breakage. Anywho more on the style:
I gathered my hair to the side of my head and then seperated it into 2 parts and made one big twist and wrapped it around into a bun and secured it with a hairstick(my grandpa made it for me it has a kukui not with a flower painted on it attached to the end), thats it! Its simple but super cute and a new twist to the classic bun!
In the close up you can kinda see that it looks like four sections. I imagine if you have longer hair it will look different, but will still be a way cool look.(^_^).
BONUS PIC!!!
My mom's hair in a bun with a hair stick. It was a kinda swirly bun i think she wrapped her hair around the hair stick

How i wore my hair today.
I got my hair wet today and detangled (which took forever!). I wet my hairsectioned it in four, then put mane and tail conditioner in it. I finger combed each section and then put it into two twists. When i was done i untwisted my hair then rinsed out all the conditioner put it into four sections and added aussie moist and some oil to each section. I let my hair semi air dry (it was just too cold to let it fully air dry, i used a blow dryer on a low setting untill my hair was still wet but not dripping) in pigtails with a second band around the middle to stretch my hair out. When it was almost dry i decided to style it:
I pulled the bangs out and put the rest back into a ponytail. Then i used a flower clip to clip my bangs to the side. I havnt worn my hair in a ponytail in a while so it was fun i kept swinging my head lol.

Super Cute Hairstyle!!!
So this weekend i did my friend Kayonias hair, and i think it turned out super cute(^_^)!
It was kinda hard to braid her hair because of how straight it is since she is part japanese, the hair kept slipping and the parts were hard to do, but all in all it didn't take that long. What i did was i parted her hair in half and tied off the bottom section, then did four cornrows on the top part then put rubber bands in her hair so the braids wouldn't unravel and left the ends un braided. Then i grabbed a little more hair and made to ponytails with it. I took random small sections of hair from the pigtails and braided them. I left the back down so she could have a half updo.

OMG! i have a hair regimen!!!
I't like just now dawned on me, i have established a regimen! i feel proud and ima pat myself on the back (pat pat). I basicly follow the tightly curly method ( tightlycurly.com (i so making another post about it its awesome!!!) ) Yeah so Here it is:
2 x a week: Get hair wet and either co wash, shampoo (usually with dr bronners), or apple cider vinegar rinse, or tea rinse.
I don't alway shampoo every time usually once a week or week and a half but i get my hair wet twice a week so i dont really have to my scalp still gets clean. After i'm done i put conditoner in and rinse it out when im done showering/bathing. Then i apply more conditioner (aussie moist) and leave that in,then i add an oil on top. I section my hair into two and take small sections and finger comb them, when im all done i let it all aair dry. Then i keep it in a bun or up do most of the time, and daily if needed i add a little conditioner and water or some hair serum or oil. at night i put my hair into a big pony on top of my hair (called pineappling) and tie a silk scarf around my head and sleep on a silk pillow case.
ps. the picture doest really go wtih the post but i liked it.
straight hair dont care lol
So i straightend my hair and i kinda feel bad about it like gosh i might have totally damaged my hair and stuff, buuuut i'm happy with the length and exited for it to get longer. when im no longer feeling lazy i'll post pics of it. ugh but i cant stop thinking this is the second time this year and like the 5th time in like 7/8 months ive straightend it is that too much? well i use to do it every week so i really did cut back (good girl) i think its safe to say i have a healthy relationship with my flat iron now( well its a curling iron but whateverrrr) however i am not happy about the breakage but thats what i get for being so length crazed thinking i want to feel like i have long hair now and not wait untill my curls reach my back!!!! i mean my hairs not that long its full armpit length but its long enough to make me feel (special) lol
Aussie Moist Conditioner!!!
One of my fav's, its awesome cuz it detangles my hair very well and is a great leave in! And it also smells yummy kinda fruity (grape?) idk...and it's cheap (awesome!)
I use this like every time i wash my hair so about twice a week plus some extra to use to "refresh" my hair when it's looking dry, and when you seal it with a natural oil it makes your hair stay moisturized super long.

Keeping hair clean.
Alot of us with curly hair dread washing it because it can be time consuming, painfull, and very drying to our hair. But it doesn't have to be that way:
You can get your hair clean and avoid unecessary tangles and breakage, by using a conditioner instead of shampoo. The best brands are the cheap one like these:
and this one:
Or any silicone free conditioner.
It's simple and easy, just use it how you would use shampoo. Massage it into your scalp and rinse. You might want to put the conditioner into your hand and add a little water to thin it out that way it will me easier to apply. By using conditioner you still remove the dirt from your hair without drying outyour hair or tangling, which will result in healthier, easier to manage, and softer hair.
How to fishtail braid.
Fishtail braids are a fun, cute, and easy alternative to regular french or dutch braids. They may look hard to do but they're not, as soon as you learn you can do them all the time with ease.
(my friend kayonia's hair.)
Step one: Gather hair back take a small section form the crown of head, seperate into two equal sections. Cross the left over the right.
Step two: Take a section of hair from the left side and cross it over to the right. Now take hair form the right and cross it over to the left. Continue untill there is no more new hair to grab.
Step three: When there is no more new hair to take form the scalp, continue crossing hair over from each side untill you reach the bottom of braid. Now you have a beautiful fishtail braid!
Tip: If you have relaxed, straight, or a looser textured hair type you might have to put a rubber band or hair clip on the end to keep it from unraveling.(^_^).

Hollywood Beauty Tea Tree Oil.
If your like me and have a dry scalp, your always looking for a good oil to use.
My mom got this for me a few weeks ago and i've been using it about once or twice weekly. I'ts says it helps relieve dry skin and scalp. I found it to be a nice alternative to using regular tea tree oil on your scalp, it still has that tea tree smell but not as strong as regular tea tree oil does. It also has a nice minty tingle feel.(^_^). The bottle says it contains seven natural oils and aloe, it can also be used for dry skin anywhere not just the scalp.
This is what wikipedia says about tea tree oil:
"Tea tree oil, or melaleuca oil, is a pale yellow colour to nearly clear essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor.[1] It is taken from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia, which is native to the northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. Tea tree oil should not be confused with tea oil, the sweet seasoning and cooking oil from pressed seeds of the tea plant Camellia sinensis (beverage tea), or the tea oil plant Camellia oleifera.
Tea tree oil has beneficial medical properties when applied topically, including antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral action,[2] and is also believed to have beneficial cosmetic properties.[3] Tea tree oil is usually used diluted, as reactions are common with pure tea tree oil, but it can also cause irritation for some people even when diluted. Tea tree oil is toxic when taken internally, and so should never be added to food or drinks."

Fishtail braid updo.
Here's another cute and easy hairstyle.
I did this on flat iron hair but it can be done on curly hair too.
All i did was do a fishtail braid and tuck the braid inside, and used bobby pins to hold it in.
I added my mulan hair comb (i've had it since i was like waaay little lol) for a little extra cuteness(^_^).
Messy side bun with dutch braid headband.
Buns are one of my favorite ways to wear my hair, but just a regular bun can get kinda boring!
So when you are feeling a little lazy but still want too look cute this style is perfect, all you need is and elastic band, and a hair tie or hair pins.
First part your hair on the side and take a section of hair starting from the part all the way to behind the ear. Dutch braid it (a dutch braid is a reversed french braid, instead of crossing the hair over you cross it under) untill there is no more hair to add the tie an elastic hair band around it. Next gather all of your hair and put it into a loose messy bun you can use hair bands or hair pins to hold it up. It should look kinda like this(^_^).

(Any other veggie of choice)
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Garlic clove
(Any other seasoning of choice)
Wash veggies and cut them up, then place on a baking sheet lined with foil. Chop up garlic clove. Sprinkle garlic, salt and pepper on top of veggies then drizzle with olive oil. Cook at about 400 degrees F for about half and hour or untill toasty. Check on every once in a while to make sure the food doesn't burn.
Great with marinara sauce over pasta, on top of a pizza, in a burrito, quesadilla , or with rice(^_^).
